Web Launch of BIAC Anti-Bribery Resource Guide

(26 March 2008) The OECD has been leading the international fight against corruption. Through its Anti-Bribery Convention adopted in 1997, the bribing of public foreign officials has become illegal in all OECD and non-OECD signatory states and bribes can no longer be deducted from taxes. This important step forward in the fight against bribery has led to a more level playing field for international business.
The BIAC Anti-Bribery Resource Guide, developed by the BIAC Task Force on Anti-Bribery and Corruption makes available to business associations and companies relevant instruments and initiatives in the field of anti-corruption which define legally binding obligations on states and companies, reflect a relevant commitments against bribery and/or offer guidance and assistance to companies' in their fight against bribery and corruption. The guide includes tools that have been developed by BIAC members and other business organisations.
