Common Industry Standards for the European Aerospace and Defence Industries (ASD)

Year of creation: 2008

Developed by: Aerospace and Defence Industries Associations of Europe (ASD)

Description: The ASD Common Industry Standards is a voluntary code adopted by member companies to 32 National Trade Associations in 21 European countries. The core objective of the standards is to create a marketplace free of corruption, allowing all participants in the international markets to compete on equal and fair bases. The standards cover issues which include compliance with laws and regulations, gifts and hospitality, political donations and contributions, and dealing with agents, consultants and intermediaries. The standards involve commitments to avoid all forms of direct and indirect corruption, encourage agents, consultants and business partners to comply with integrity standards, put in place integrity programmes with a view to implementing the standards, and to apply sanctions for demonstrated cases of non-compliance. For additional information see the Business Fighting Corruption Case Summary of the ASD Common Industry Standard.
